With medical help now as easy as a simple call or click away, many patients have turned to telemedicine because of its low cost, accessibility, and convenience for treating minor health concerns. Once you’ve decided to see a medical provider online, you may have a few questions before your consultation begins. Here, we answer some of the most common questions patients tend to ask us:

What do I need?

It’s typically a good idea to prepare a list of your symptoms and recent history of your condition. Home medical tools may also be helpful – if you have a fever, have a thermometer close by; if you are coming in for blood pressure medication refills, sometimes a blood pressure cuff is handy.

What if I don’t have a webcam?

To deliver the best clinical care possible to you, a webcam allows our medical providers to see you and better assess your condition, as well as your overall disposition. Although webcam is preferred, and is required in some states, many ailments can be treated by a phone-only consultation. As an alternative if you don’t have access to a webcam-enabled device, you can take a picture on your smart phone and upload it to your medical chart.

How long until somebody calls me?

Within minutes of entering our virtual patient waiting room, one of our Care Coordinators will give you a call, review our treatment policy, and answer any questions you may have. After speaking with a Care Coordinator, you will be connected with a board-certified medical provider typically within 30 minutes or less.

Where can I pick up my prescription?

When medically necessary, our medical providers can prescribe medications for minor ailments and grant short-term medication refills. You can choose the pharmacy that is most convenient for your needs – closest to home, around the corner from your office, or even down the street from your kids’ soccer practice! These prescriptions are electronically sent to your selected pharmacy, where you can pick them up right after your consultation.

Is there a way to see my medical chart to review what the doctor told me?

Absolutely! We understand that sometimes patients are given a lot of information to remember during the consultation. To review your treatment plan and a summary of the visit, you may access your patient medical chart at any time simply by logging into your secure patient profile. You can also download the chart as a PDF document, to save for your records or bring with you when you see your primary care physician.

It’s really that simple – no need to drive to the local clinic, sit in a waiting room with other sick patients, or even leave your house! We have board-certified and licensed medical providers in all 50 states, low wait times, and high patient satisfaction. Any time you have more questions, our friendly Care Coordinators offer 24/7 patient support, and are happy to assist before and after your consultation. We look forward to treating you!
